Always recommended during any installation / tune. A worn PCV valve and hardened, ill-fitting grommet can lead to a vacuum leak and a rough idle (or worse). 

pay attention to the pcv and vent hoses too.

if your injected 22RE pcv valve is the "90 degree" type, you'll have to order the pcv hose along with this for the conversion
