From the factory these bolts come with thread sealant installed. That’s why they were such a pain to remove when you pulled the housing to replace the seal / gasket.

Since these are the factory bolts, they have the thread sealant already installed on the threads. The threads in the front of your trans housing are “open” and will allow the gear oil to seep through the threads and pool up in your bell housing. Again. You don’t want that after you’ve installed a new clutch / input shaft seal / gasket, do you? I didn’t think so.

G series trans uses a total of 8 bolts

W series trans uses a total of 7 bolts
