I’m sure you know our feelings on the aftermarket “cold air intake” systems that use a cone filter and other shenanigans. Useless and draw in HOT underhood air. Yeah, silly aren’t they? Get rid of that “million mile” filter too.

Your Toyota factory airbox is already a “cold air” system. This tube goes from the lower part of the stock airbox to the big, round hole in the radiator core support and draws in cool air from OUTSIDE of the engine bay behimd your grille. Just as nature (and toyota) intended.

**I’ve found some trucks/4runners from 1989+ use them too. If your airbox has a round hole in the bottom portion (the side that faces the radiator) you may be missing this too
