***If your year shows "out of stock, you'll have to send yours for service. Due to the large number of damaged threads on the cold start injector cores and the fact that some people are a little "slow" in returning their core, I do not always have usable core to have rebuilt and on the shelf. It's usually a 6-7 business day turn-around time.

If you are having the dreaded "long crank before starting" on your truck when it's cold and you've already tested your THERMO TIME SWITCH, your cold start injector may be bad. People mistake A LOT of problems as a "bad cold start injector" when it's not. If you need diagnostic help, check our FAQ / diagnostic help page or email me and let me know what kind of problem you are having, I can usually start you in the right direction.

If you've ever pulled yours out of the intake manifold, you've seen how crusty and carboned up they can get. Combine that with 25+ years of pumping fuel out of it, they can get a bit tired. A worn or dirty cold start injector can be dripping fuel causing a rich condition, lower fuel pressure or hard start. A partially plugged or weak spray pattern can also contribute to hard start and poor running when cold.

Check the shape of the connector on the cold start injector since they weren't consistent on the year thing.

You'll need to add the "core" to your cart when ordering the injector too.

includes gasket to intake and 2 copper sealing washers

****PLEASE NOTE: YOUR CORE INJECTOR MUST HAVE GOOD THREADS AT THE BANJO FITTING. ANY DAMAGE TO THE THREADS AND THE CORE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Damaged threads can lead to leakage. Fuel leakage = fire. Fire is bad.
