carb baseplate / gasket / heat insulator

For some odd reason, this is the only way the base gaskets are available from Toyota. Since they are bonded to the heat insulator, it’s all replaced as a unit. I’ve never trusted the aftermarket gaskets that are available, they seem to cover up some of the crucial vacuum ports on the plate and t also seems weird to double gasket it too.

Yours is old and crusty and may be causing that vacuum leak since it isn't sealing properly. Carbureted 22R engines run great, give yours a non-leaking start with a new baseplate.
