Let’s make a (controlled) vacuum leak!
These come into play at idle to create a slight vacuum leak to raise the idle when the a/c compressor clicks on. Notice how one line come from in front of the throttle plate? See how the other is after the throttle plate? When ground is applied to the VSV, it opens allowing the “vacuum leak” to happen and raise the idle slighty by letting the air get passed the closed throttle plate. Ingenious and simple.
**make sure you test and double test (and then test it all again) to make sure that yours is actually bad before you order one of these. They are NOT returnable. And they are stupidly expensive.
