Hey, remember when you stripped the Phillips screws trying to remove them from the throttle body? Not trying to kink shame you but, it’s not Toyotas fault, it’s yours. Well, not EXACTLY yours, your Phillips bit is not made for them.
Toyota uses JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) screwdriver sizes. A regular Phillips head doesn’t fit properly INTO the JIS screw heads and they don’t get enough surface area to grip properly. That is what caused that screwdriver you were using to cam-out when you tried to loosen them and turned them into junk. You never thought that tiny set of vice grips you got from grand dad were ever going to actually come in handy, did you?
If you are feeling frisky and want to do it the right way, get yourself a set of JIS bits. The proper tools are always a good investment. And I’ll stop making fun of you behind your back….
