As you’ve been reading on the other pipe descriptions, these tend to get rotten after all the years on your vehicle. Poor coolant maintenance by the last guy, warped mounting flange (again, by the last guy) and corrosion build up under the hose connection had lead to leaks, seeps and rot.
It’s in a tight spot, you only want to replace it once.

**The gasket for this pipe at the timing cover is part of the actual timing cover gasket. If you are not doing this as part of the timing cover replacement, let me know in the notes field at check out and I can send you a sacrificial timing cover gasket and you can cut out the part you need and use a thin film of silicone there. Of course, I have to say it….. cut away your old gasket, never double up gaskets
