yours has seen better days. You lost that paperclip that holds in on, the plastic gave up the ghost a while ago… The thumb lock gave up and left the chat for the later ones.. Get rid of that zip tie and silicone “holding” it all together.
If you’ve read anything about diagnostics on my pages, you know how important the TPS adjustment is to the way your truck runs. When this connector is loose / broken / holding on by a thread, it’s effect diveabilty. You don’t want the connector falling off at the wrong time.
I’d recommend pulling the soldering iron out of the “unused in a long time” drawer of your toolboox to install it properly (i include some shrink tube).Just get the wires in the right spot.
Squared connector (the paper clip holds in on) fits the TPS 89452-20050 and 89452-14050 (1984 to 1989-ish) 22RE / 22RTE / 3VZ
Rounded connector (unlock the connector with the thumb lock) fits 89452-12040, 89452-22090 (1989 to 1995) 22RE and 3VZ
