Postitive Crankcase Ventilation….. get it?
This should be part of your regular maintenance. A faulty PCV valve can cause multiple problems. Sticking open can cause high idle, rough idle, failed emissions test, oil consumption, oil build up in the intake manifold and more. Stuck closed can cause excess crankcase pressure that will make oil puke from various oil seals. Nobody wants puking oil. NO ONE, I tell you! Replace it when your manual says and save yourself a potential headache of diagnostics later.
