if your shifter has gotten a bit sloppy and limp…. ahem. These could be your issue.
The ball off the shifter rides on the blue/green seat that gets installed into the shifter housing of your trans and the little white bushing snaps onto the tip of the shifter that rides on the shifter fork in the trans. Both parts do wear over the years (just think how many times you’ve rowed through those gears) and can be the cause of your smooshed knuckles hitting the radio.
an easy install that can be done while the trans is still installed in the truck.
