pre-gooed, just for you!
From the factory these bolts come with thread sealant installed. That’s why they were such a pain to remove when you pulled the housing to replace the seal / gasket.
The threads in the front of your trans housing are “open” and will allow the gear oil to seep through the threads and pool up in your bell housing. Again. You don’t want that after you’ve installed a new clutch / input shaft seal / gasket, do you? I didn’t think so.
1996 - 2000 3rd gen 4Runner 5VZ V6 (R150 trans) uses a total of 8 bolts
1996 - 2000 3rd gen 4Runner 3RZ (W58 trans) uses a total of 7 bolts
