any time you change the transmission, transfer case or diff gear oil, have these on hand. The last thing you want precious elixir of life to seep out because you were too cheap to replace the sealing washers. Don’t be that guy and leak gear oil on my driveway. Not cool.
Aluminum washers for the FILL plugs and crush washers for the DRAIN plugs. If you don’t put them in the right spot, they may explode.
TOP TIP: did the last gorilla not replace the aluminum washers and them over tighten them so much that they squeezed out like cake frosting? Yeah, makes it tough to get a socket over the plug to remove it huh? Take a small chisel / punch and tap the oozing cake frosting away from the head of the plug and it’ll give you some space to hork it off of there.
