Geez, there are so many brake pads options available, it’s hard to separate the good from the squeaky-as-all-heck ones. With that in mind, we chose the OE manufacturer for the pad brands. Ceramic is the buzzword everyone is using these days, so we’ll stick with that.
These are direct replacement Japanese made pads with the coated, anti squeak shims installed and the pad set also includes a packet of brake lube. Just don’t put it on the friction material side. Don’t laugh, I’ve seen people do it (more than one actually)
We always recommend resurfacing rotors when possible or replacing them. Don’t mess around.
Advics (Aisin) or Akebono OEM pads that include shims. Fits all 4 wheel drive pick ups and 4Runners from 1985-1995
